About Lt. Manning Livingston (USA)

Civil War Union Officer. Manning Livingston was serving as an artillery officer with the 3rd United States Artillery when he was killed-in-action on July 2, 1863 at the Battle of Gettysburg. The twenty year old New York native, who enlisted as a 2nd Lieutenant on February 19, 1862, was brevetted Captain posthumously for his "gallant and meritorious service" at Gettysburg.
