On Luciano MARIANO:

1. He is named after his grandfather Luciano "Adriatico" MARIANO. 2. Historical finds supports the adoption story on his part. Herein he retained the middle initial "M" for Monte.

And my theory based on historical records was that he was adopted by a sister of Maria Monte by the name of Asuncion Monte married to Victor Alcantara.

3. Hence, he named his daughter Asuncion (Baby who had passed away) after his adoptive mother's name Asuncion.

He worked for the Department of Labor ( I don't know for how long), and I believed he retired in the 70's. He and Lolo Cua (Pascual P. Lopez de Leon, husband of Laura Mariano) both worked for the Department, not at the same time though. They both held important positon.

I just found this:

July 21, 1961 - Department of Labor, San Pablo City, Regional Administrator Luciano Alcantara.

I also have seen the name of a Regional Administrator De Leon in the same Department of Labor in San Pablo City.

NOTE: It seems that Luciano "Alcantara" MARIANO had stayed close to his sister Laura and brother-in-law Pascual, location and employment wise.
