Jay Madsen an 81 year old Payson resident passed away December 15, 2012 at his home.
Jay was born September 3, 1931 in Richfield, Utah the son of Earl & Nellie Dickinson Madsen. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married JoAnn Rogers January 7, 1952 in Richfield, Utah. Jay owned and operated his own auto part business Jay Madsen's Pak a Part. He enjoyed bowling and fishing.
Jay is survived by his wife JoAnn Madsen; four children Brenda (Dan) Worthen; Jan (David) Sperry; Elaine Madsen: Val Jay Madsen; 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; preceded in death by one son, Jerry E. Madsen.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Payson LDS 3rd Ward. A viewing for friends and family will be held Tuesday evening December 18, 2012 6-8:00 p.m. at the church and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. the day of the service. Burial will follow at the Payson Cemetery. Services are under the direction of SereniCare Funeral Home.
