About Mainguy, Bishop (of Vannes?)
MAINGUY [Méen] (-after 1082). "Defuncto…Guethenoco…filius eius Goscelinus" donated property to the abbey of Redon, by charter dated [1066/82], witnessed by "filius eius Maenguis episcopus, et Rogerius et Eudo et alii filii eius". Tresvaux records that he was elected as Bishop of Vannes in 1066 but does not cite the primary source on which this is based. http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/BRITTANY.htm#_Toc284059618
Presumably born before 1037, as 30 was the minimum age to become a bishop. He was either not the oldest son, or extramarital.
