Asa Baldwin, son of David Baldwin and Abigail Burr, was b. in Hingham, Mass., on Aug. 27,1723; married with ABIGAIL DRAPER (widow of Henry White, dau. of James Draper and Abigail Child, of Dedham, Mass. and had several children by her 1st husband), on Mar. 7,1749/50. She was b. Dec. 12,1721 in Stoughton, Mass; she d. 1815.

Per Draper's "History of Spencer" he was a "gentleman of respectibility," often chosen to town offices, Committee of Correspondence, an officer in the war of the Revolution, and Major in the Militia.
