She seems to have been born in Tennessee, but the 1850 census says she was born in Virginia. In the spring of 1845 Margaret moved with other members of her husband's family to Cross Plains, Wisconsin. She is almost certainly a near relative of the Michael Heidenrich, who appears on the index for the 1850 census at Milwaukee, p. 181. Michael, in turn, is probably the father of the Joseph Heidenrick, who appears on the 1850 Mortality Schedule. Joseph died in November at the the of 18 months of a brain inflamation.
