About Margaret de Tyldesley

Peter Legh, Esq., of Lymme in Prestbury, Bradley in Cheshire, and Dalton and Haydock in Lancashire, was age 48 in 1527. He married first Jane, daughter of Peter Gerard of Bryn, Ashton-in-Makerfield, Lancashire. They had three daughters - Cecily who married Thomas Butler, Jane or Joane and Anne. Jane Gerard died 5 May 1510. Peter married second Margaret de Tyldesley, daughter of Nicholas de Tyldesley. They had three sone (Sir Peter, George and Robert) as well as six daughters. Peter died 4 Dec. 1541, leaving a will dated 6 Sept. 1539.
