Believed to have emigrated to Australia, alone, age 24 - "Assisted Emigration". Sailed from Liverpool on the 'David McIvor' on 25th December 1856. Landed at Geelong, Victoria, NSW on 7th April 1857. Married Joseph Nairn in October 1857 in Geelong and had 12 children. She died about 1916 in NSW. Am in touch with one of her descendants there - trying to find conclusive proof - everything fits so far. In those days, people just held a 'yard sale' and then walked to Liverpool - sometimes not even saying where they were going - most never returned.
