King's Daughters", page 345, Marie Langlois was born about 1639 in the parish of Saint-Hilaire in Chartres, Beauce (Orléanais), the daughter of Pierre Langlois and Jeanne Thoret/Taurel. She came to Canada in 1665 about at age 26 and was joined about 1680 by her sister Marie. Both girls were named Marie, if they had another given name, it did not show up in the Canadian records. On 28 October 1665, notary Latouche drew up a marriage contract between Marie and Jean Gladu dit Cognac at Cap-de-la-Madeleine, but neither spouse could sign it. Marie Langlois died before 10 January 1703 at Cap-de-la-Madeleine
