Marieanne Neumann Kenyon, 56, wife of perennial midget racing champion driver Mel Kenyon, died at home December 16, 1999, after a long illness following a serious head injury while vacationing in Colorado a number of years ago. Although wheel chair bound Marieanne accompanied her husband to many functions where her husband felt she might pick up a sign or sound that would restore her memory.
She was a commercial artist in her hometown of Moline, Illinois, was a Red Cross lifesaving instructor and a program director for the American Red Cross for 14 years.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon Boys and Girls Club, and cards sent to 3K Racing, 2685 S 25W, Lebanon, IN 46052-9748.
Services for Marieanne Kenyon will be held at 10:30 AM, December 23, 1999 at Myers Mortuary, Lebanon, with calling from 4:00-8:00 December 22nd. Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown, IN.
Survivors include husband Melvin E. Kenyon, sons Vaughn L. Kenyon, Brice M. Kenyon; parents Mitchell and Berthella Neumann; brothers Henry W. Neumann and Robert J. Neumann; sisters Judy Hallquist, Marcia Elder, and Michelle Dale.
