Mary was raised by her grandmother and grandfather Downs until 9 yrs old and was then brought up by her mother and stepfather Ralph Baker and Florence Baker in Rochester NY She then was given the name Mary Baker. Got a certificate from New Hampshire for register of birth for my mother in Portsmouth NH.

In later years she married Ernest Rowell who was a very kind man. He was my stepfather
