Mary Kent, wife of Samuel Granger (third generation Granger in Suffield)

Mary Kent was the daughter of Samuel Kent and his third wife, Hester Hosford Phelps, a widow. Mary was the SECOND daughter named Mary that Samuel Kent and Hester Hosford had. She was born circa 1708 in Suffield, Connecticut. She married Samuel Granger, son of Samuel Granger and Esther Hanchett, grandson of Launcelot Granger II, the first Granger to settle in Suffield.

Hester Hosford, her mother was the daughter of John Hosford & Phillury Thrall; b. 27 May 1664, Windsor, CT; d. 18 Jan 1760, Suffield, CT.

Hester's two daughters named Mary were as follows:

• Mary Kent, b. 10 Jul 1704, Suffield, CT.
• Mary Kent, b. ca. 1708, Suffield, CT; m. Samuel Granger.

Hester Hosford was the third wife of Samuel Kent. She was the widow of Joseph Phelps of Windsor who d. 1695.
