

1884: Met Richard Nolan. From Richard's account "I have omitted to say how I met your mother. It was at a Total Abstinence Society connected with St. Augustine & John of Thomas Street. The society was named the St. Nicholas of Tolentine and guided by the O.S.A. priests. Two young women named Higginson sisters introduced me to Mary McKeon and she and I were together for about 18 months before marriage which took place at the St. Michael of Johns by the Very Rev. B. Tynan on the 25th Oct 1885."

From Richard "Your mother and I were fairly good dancers and at the hall of the society we had dances and plays. I recalled being on the stage when some of the company gave "Paddy Miles' Boy" There was also concerts and my father was a good attender at this Temperance society".

1920: Died age 53 from breast cancer. Last residence in Belfast.
