where an inscription on a small brass plate reads:

"Mary Sheafe, the wife of Thomas Sheafe, who lived together nere xlv yeares, and has issue between them ix sons and vi daughters, she a grave and charitable Matron, dyed lxxiii years of Age, November 1699, impasivit. E.S."
