Lieut. Micah HOYT was born on 23 JUL 1739 in Amesbury, Essex County, Massachusetts. (SOURCE: Early Vital Records of Essex County, Massachusetts to 1850 for Amesbury.) He died on 8 JUN 1807 at Newton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. He was 1st Lieut. in the 2nd N.H. Continental Infantry, and served to 30 April 1779; and eligible member of the Society of the Cincinnati in the State of New Hampshire, whose representation has recently been taken up by the Reverend Dr. Richard Donald Pierce.
