The Familiantenbuch entry for Michael's son Salomon KORNELD, gives Salomon's father as "Michael Kornfeld sonst Salomon Mischl". From this entry, some researchers have concluded that Michael Kornfeld was otherwise called Salomon Mischl. This has led to some confusion, as it is clear that Salomon was known as Salomon Mischl. Salomon Mischl would seem to be a traditional, patronymic name for Salomon, indincuating that he was Salomon son of Mischl. However, it would be very odd if Michael would have had the name "Salomon Mischl" A likely possibility is that the person writing the Familiantenbuch made an error : Either "sonst Salomon Mischl" should have referred to Salomon and not to his father or it should have stated "Michael Kornfeld sonst Mischl" On this basis I have edited out (Salomon Mischl) from the forenames of Michael Kornfeld [Peter Lowe 17 May 2011]
