About Mick Brennan
"In November 2004, whilst serving with his regiment, the Royal Signals, in Iraq, he lost both his legs and part of his skull in a horrific suicide bomb attack. Like so many of our young soldiers who have suffered similarly, giving up is not in Mick’s nature, and so with the support of his family, friends and a wonderful team of professionals at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Headley Court in Surrey he battled back.
In March 2008, as part of his rehabilitation programme, Mick started to learn adaptive skiing. Before then he had never skied. His natural ability, combined with a determination to still live life to the full, came together and he was recognised as having a unique talent".
