Announced in "The Sydney Morning Herald" of Wednesday 20 December 1939:
"MISS MIRIAM HYDE, the well-known composer and pianist, whose marriage with Mr Marcus Edwards will take place at St Michael's Church Vaucluse on Tuesday Her mother Mrs C H Hyde, of Torrens Park, Adelaide, will come to Sydney for the wedding Mr Edwards who is the second son of the Rev John and Mrs Edwards of Rose Bay is a member of the Second AIF. Mrs Alan Traill of Burwood will be matron-of-honour and the best man will be Dr Malcolm Edwards."
