About Miriam Ann Natirboff (Cady)
Miriam Ann Cady Natirboff, 83, of King Street, Wellsboro, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
She was the wife of Murat Natirboff whom she married in Oct. 1958. Miriam was born May 20, 1928, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of the late Henry Lee and Elsie Gertrude MacFadden Cady.
She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, was a journalist and editor for newspapers in the Detroit area, and was a Foreign Service Officer from 1952 to 1958. After her marriage she accompanied her husband on his foreign tours.
Miriam attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Wellsboro, and was a member of the Mayflower Society and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a published author, avid geneologist and a blogger.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Murat Cady Natirboff of Wellsboro, Devlet Mark Natirboff (Laura) of Jacksonville, Fla., Daniel Kent Natirboff (Eileen Susan Maunus) of Harrisburg; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Paul Gaylord Cady and sister Virginia Lee Cady.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, a "Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro.
