When she was a little girl she ran across a field barefoot and discovered a shallow grave. She suffered from reoccurring dreams of it for the rest of her life.
Molly was 13 when they hired a German agent to sneak Molly through the swamplands out of Russia. They hid in an attic during the daylight hours. They got to a boat eventually. Most magnificent thing she ever saw was the sea.
Discovered her feet were frostbitten in NY in her sister Sarah's apartment.
Her first gift in US were two pairs of silk stockings from Sam Lavit, her first cousin. Her mother did not approve of the marriage. She defied her mother. They went to city hall in NY and Sam had already gotten two witnesses. She joked later that she married him so as not to embarrass him in front of his two friends. When they left city hall there was a bolt of lightening in the sky she took as a sign.
Marched as a suffragette and is written up in some text books.
Blue eyes, chestnut colored hair, perfect manicure
