Until 1536 Longtown was a part of Wales, when the border was moved by Henry VII putting it firmly inside England. It is one of the parishes of the old Hundred of Ewyas Lacy.

1669. Will and documents for Ann Lanne, spinster. Executors cousin William Abraham. Witnesses include Hugh Button, Morgan Abraham, Marjorie Abraham, John Symonds

Lease for a year 6/28/1686 Morgan Abraham and wife Sarah Abraham to Symon Higgins of the Welsh Bach in the Parish of Dorstone, gent and Blanch his wife and Elizabeth Francis widow, mother of Blanch. Consideration 5 shillings.

Release 6/29/1686 to Morgan Abraham, Carpenter, and Sarah his wife. Consideration 132 pounds.

Morgan Abraham will written, dated 6/24/1712, everything left to wife Sarah

Date of death 6/28/1712 according to preamble to inventory

Date of Inventory 7/7/1712, value of Appraisers 120 pounds, 10 shillings, appraisers Thomas Jenkins and Simon Thomas

3/4/1713 Lease and Release Sarah Abraham of Clodock, widow and relect of Morgan Abraham, James Abraham, son and heir apparent of Morgan Abraham to Lionel Croft of Cloddock, yeoman and Katherine his wife and James Harris of Cloddock, Yeoman. Land etc. in the occupation of Sarah Abraham. 28 acres between the lands of Helena Pritchard called Cae-y-Park etc. The lands of William Watts called Kae Gwommon etc.

3/5/1713 Release of lands as described above, consideration 132 pounds.

5/7-20/1713 Sarah Abraham on frigate Foy bound from Bristol for Pennsylvania--Edward Foy, John Evans, Thomas Smith & Co., Joseph Flowle, Peter Younge for Isaac Norris, Francis Gandovell, Sarah Abram, James Willing, Henry Clothier, Malachy Jones, Reece Thomas, Walter Hawkins, Edwrd Roberts, Henry Parker for James Crowly (PRO: E190/1173/1)

11/11/1713 Sarah Abraham purchases 162 acres of farmland in Radnor Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania

10/14/1714 one of signers of the covenant of religious fellowship which formed the Abington Presbyterian church, as does her son James Abraham and Sarah Gunter ( perhaps a daughter)

11/25/1714 Malachi Jones records indicate baptism of Mary, daughter of Mary and Edward Lawrence, Sarah's grandaughter who later married Samuel Jobson.
