Until 1536 Longtown was a part of Wales, when the border was moved by Henry VII putting it firmly inside England. It is one of the parishes of the old Hundred of Ewyas Lacy.

Release 6/29/1686 to Morgan Abraham, Carpenter, and Sarah his wife. Consideration 132 pounds.

Land etc. in the occupation of Sarah Abraham. 28 acres between the lands of Helena Pritchard called Cae-y-Park etc. The lands of William Watts called Kae Gwommon etc.

11/11/1713 Sarah Abraham purchases 162 acres of farmland in Radnor Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania
10/14/1714 one of signers of the covenant of religious fellowship which formed the Abington Presbyterian church, as does her son James Abraham and Sarah Gunter ( perhaps a daughter)
11/25/1714 Malachi Jones records indicate baptism of Mary, daughter of Mary and Edward Lawrence, Sarah's grandaughter who later married Samuel Jobson.
