We assume John's wife was born in England. Lily Allen Folsom, a decendent of Thomas Livesey born 1818, in Spotland, found notes about the Livesey family in the Beer Family Journal.

Thomas Livesey had an older brother John who was in the lace business. He had two children Dian and Salina.

Also Thomas Livesey had three sisters Sarah Grove, Mary Bluer and a Mrs. Thomas Simpson had Mary Ann, Elizabeth and some boys.
