"...Nehemiah COMSTOCK was born between 1800 and 1810 in Kentucky. He died in May 1845 in Mooresville (Green Twp), Livingston, Missouri. The Lexington, Missouri law firm of Limrick & Marron petitioned the Livingston Co. Probate court for payment of a debt owned by Nehemiah Comstock, deceased. The petition was dated May 27, 1845, a short time following Nehemiah's death. Nehemiah Comstock was a Captain in the Missouri Militia during the Mormon War. He was a Justice of the Peace and a school board director in 1840. The site of his cabin was later occupied by the William Bond Moore residence north of the Mooresville depot..."
