Nicholas died of a heroin overdose on April 2, 1994, at the age of 23. Of this, Curtis has said, "As a father you don't recover from that. There isn't a moment at night that I don't remember him."

icholas Bernard Curtis of Dennis, the son of actor Tony Curtis and a student at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, died unexpectedly Saturday. He was 23.

Curtis was born in London and lived in Los Angeles before moving to Dennis in 1983. He attended the Wixon School and Dennis Yarmouth High School.

He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and his local chapter devoted yesterday's meeting to his memory.
