Married Joane Rossiter, daughter of Edward Rossiter, of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Was early of Taunton, but removed to Warwick, Rhode Island. Died in 1654 according to Austin.

Nicholas Hart may be the son of Richard Hart of London, England. His name first appears in the records of Taunton in 1642, when he was excommunicated. The following year in Boston, he was mentioned at the excommunication of Sarah, wife of Benjamin Keayne, and the daughter of Thomas Dudley. In 1643 he was a soldier in William Poole's Company of Continentals. Nicholas Hart also appears in 1648 at Warwick, Rhode Island
