About Nicholas J Reiff
From findagrave: Nicholas was a freight conductor on the Illinois Central Railroad with his run being between Dubuque and Waterloo. Around 1900 he resigned from this work and began the operation of a grocery store in Waterloo. He married Minnie Keefe and the couple lived in the Waterloo area the remainder of their lives.
