Described in early English records as being of "de Faversham, Kent County," and this is so noted in one of the Visitations of kent. His death must have been circa 1591 for page 195 of Harleian Manuscript #25, noted that on "December 13 1592 Margery Tilghman, daughter of Mr. Tilghman of Faversham, kent, Gent., deceased, married Thomas Bromelye. No record has been found of his marriage but it is known that his children were Nicholas, Margery, and Thomas.
