Nicholas was born on May 15th, 1793 in Moore County (?), North Carolina.1 Nicholas' father was John WRIGHT and his mother was FNU LNU. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Phillip, Katie and Polly. He was the youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 60 on April 30th, 1854.

Lauderdale Alabama Probate Minutes Book A 1850-1855, pg. 541: Murrell ASKEW, on the 15th of May, suggested the death of Nicholas WRIGHT and applied for Letters of Administration, the said ASKEW being one of the heirs. Aaron ASKEW and William HERMAN, securities.
