Mr Nils August Karlsson, 22, was born 14 August 1889 the son of Carl Gustaf Karlsson. He had a brother and a sister. The family came from Södermalm, Nyholm, Örebro, Närke, Sweden. His profession is unknown.
He was travelling from Örebro to an unknown destination, possibly to his sister A. Grahn in Palmer, Massachusetts. He came to Southampton via Copenhagan and boarded the Titanic as a third class passenger .
Karlsson died in the sinking, his body, if recovered, was never identified.
The Mansion House Fund paid 875.52 Kr (£48) to the father; 1366.50 Kr (£75) damage claims were paid to the father 27 May 1914. The high sums indicate that the father was dependent on his income.
