[JBA:]
There is conflicting information about Nissim. Jacqueline's book says that he married Esther Koen and had one son Ezra, born in 1933. It also says that Esther died in 1943, before the Holocaust. The Ioannina archive lists Ezra son of Nissim and Esther Bakolas, born in 1937. The Ioannina Holocaust records lists a Rebecca Eliasaf, wife of Nissim, and three children of a Nissim, Ezra (1937), Dina (1937) and an infant not yet named (1944). These have been listed on the current Geni tree. This suggests there were two Nissim Bakolas at the time.
There was a Nissim son of Jesoua born in 1919. Perhaps this is the Nissim who was father of Dina and the infant, and married to Rebecca Eliasaf, who was born in 1916.
[from a book by JH & JK:]
Nissim Bacola married Esther Koen and had one son named Ezra Bacola, who was born in 1933 in Paramithia, Greece. Esther died a year before the Nazis forced them from their home and sent the people of Greece to the concentration camps to be gassed. However Nissim survived the camp but died two days after the liberation as a result of … overeating.
