Jacob Sleeper, Sr. divorced his 1st wife, Dorothy Clough by whom he had 11 children. He remarried an Olive Dinsdale and they lived Newcastle, Maine, USA. On Nov. 21, 1802 Olive & Jacob Sleeper, Sr. had a son, Jacob Sleeper, Jr. When Jacob, Jr. was 14 in 1816, he lost both parents and was raised by an Uncle--probably a maternal uncle. Jacob, Jr. became extremely wealthy and was one of three founders of Boston University.
