Ora R. REED, 76, of 458 Lake St., Culver, died Monday in his home after a sudden illness.

He was born March 21, 1907 in Fulton to Calvin and Tressie RICHARDS REED. He moved from Fulton to Culver 55 years ago. He was married Jan.3, 1927 in Rochester to Maybelle B. REINHOLD; she died in 1976. He was a retired meat cutter for A&P, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, American Legion, VFW, Plymouth 40&8 Club and Plymouth Moose Lodge.

Surviving are a son, Robert L. REED, South Bend; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, and a sister, Ruth FISHER, Jackson, Miss. A sister and a brother preceded in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Bonine Funeral Home, Culver, with the Rev. Donald BOWMAN officiating. Burial will be in Culver Masonic Cemetery, where the VFW will conduct graveside rites. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
