About Orrin Elijah Livermore

He was brought up on a farm in Hinsdale; after receiving an academic education he taught school one term.

In 1863, he went to Northampton,Massachusetts, having secured work with Moses Breck, by whom he was employed nine years, after which he succeed to his employer's well-established business as a contractor and builder.

He is a member of the Baptist Church in which he has served as deacon for twenty-three years, and has been superintendent of the Sunday School for eighteen years.
