"Engineer for Chicago Northwestern Railroad for almost 50 years and was able to make transition from steam locomotive to diesel engines." -Nancy Craig
"Otto was a steam locomotive engineer for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad. He was born in Germany. I remember letters from the old country with Nazi postmarks. Otto was retired when the railroad went to diesel. Our whole family attended railroad pickniks till he died. At the end of Otto's life he no longer had his own place but would bounce around between the relatives." - Scott Maniscalco Otto came to the US with his parents and siblings on September 28 1882. They sailed from Prussia on the Nurnberg.
