Peleg Baker, son of Samuel S. and Abigail Baker , was born May 23, 1761 in Exeter, Washington Co., Rhode Island. He married with SALLY SUSANNA (said to be an Indian).

Children were: Susannah (1800-1882; m. James Coon) and Thomas (1809-1963).

'He was a Revolutionary War Soldier with the 16th Albany Militia, NY and a War of 1812 Soldier with the 7th and 23 Reg. NY Militia.'

He died Oct. 19, 1842 at Chestertown, Warren Co., New York and is buried at Starbuckhill Cemetery, Warren Co., New York.
