   There is also a book called The Woodbury Family on Genealogylibrary.com. Under a section Sarah Dodge, Second Wife - the following: "Sarah Dodge Woodbury was baptized July 2, 1644; died
   September 19, 1726, aged eighty-four. She was the mother of Josiah Woodbury and had daughters, Sarah Raymond, Abigail Lamson, Anna Herrick, Martha Brown, Jerusha Raymond, also Priscilla and Rebecca, who were unmarried at the date of Deacon Peter's will. Subsequently, Rebecca married Samuel Corning of Beverly."

Peter had a good education if his handwriting may be considered as evidendce. With his second wife, Sarah, he was received as a full memer of the Beverly Church. Peter ws selectman in 1675 & 76. On Nov. 16, 1686 he was elected Deacon. It was during his incumbency in this office that the witchcraft delusion swept over Salem and it is related of him that he kept his horses saddled to assist the persecuted to flee to New Hampshire out of the jurisdiction of the court. Peter lived on the family homestead that remained in the family until 1898.

A deed dated March 13, 1681-2 from his brother-in-law John Hill and wife Abigail (2) Woodbury (his sister) conveyed all the land she had inherited of their father, John, viz. 25 acres, upland, bounded by Woodbury, Dodge adn Balch.

Peter was John and Agnes Woodbury's youngest child, born at Salem, Mass. He married in 1665 Abigail Bachelder baptized Feb. 12, 1642. She died soon after the birth of her only child, Peter. Peter Woodbury married, second, Sarah, daughter of Richard Dodge. He was made a freeman in 1668, and a selectman in 1679, and a deacon in 1689 and deputy to the general court in 1689. He died July 4, 1704, and his widow survived until 1726, reaching the age of 84 years.

They had eight children: Josiah, Sarah, Abigail, Martha, Jeremiah, Ann, Priscilla and Rebecckah.
