About Philip (Finlay) S Munro

From Contributors on Rootsweb: Finlay Munro was engaged in active service during the War of 1812 and was wounded in the arm during an engagement at Hoople's Creek during the battle of Chrysler's Farm on 10th November, 1813. He was granted a pension of £20 for his service. His wife, Christy, appears to have been the daughter of John Ross and Espy Munro..... Espy has been difficult to classify, as it is not clear who's daughter she was. One report says that Finlay married his niece, the daughter of Alexander Ross and Anne Munro; but there is no record of them having a daughter named Christy. More investigation is required on this matter.
