About Philip Hichborn

(VIII) Philip Hichborn, son of Philip Hichborn (7), was born in Boston, 1805. He had a common school education, and learned the trade of shipwright, holding a responsible position for many years in the United States navy yard at Charlestown, Massachusetts, where he lived. He married, 1829, at Salem, Martha, daughter of Solomon and Betsey (Proctor) Gould. (See Gould family). He died at Charlestown, May 16, 1889.
