Phillip EMERSON was born about 1713. He died in 1755. Thomas and his brother Philip Emerson both minors, had their lands appraaised on 16 Nov 1727. Mention was made of Mrs. Elizabeth Emerson (TALR 13:391)

                         Phillip of Talbot County, Maryland died leaving a will dated July 21, 1755 and proved November 27, 1755.  Named were wife, Sarah; nieces and nephews Elizabeth Trippe, Mary Emerson Trippe, William Coursey, Jr, Elizabeth Coursey, daughter of William, Mary Coursey, daughter of William, Mary Stansbury, wife of Tobias of Baltimore, Henry Trippe, and Ann Trippe.  The extx. was Sarah Emerson.  The will was witnessed by Jaob Hindman, John Jackson, Edw. Tilghman, Mary Hindman and Henry Murray.
