Peter arrived in New York about 1900. He worked as a pants presser in a clothing factory for three years where he stood on his feet all day, and eventually developed flat feet from work. He was a very religious man who observed the Sabbath and he never worked on Saturdays. He was described as a very sweet person with a cute little van dyke beard. He lived at 344 Third Street from 1905 to 1907.
