Polly was born in 1781 in Scotland.1 Polly's father was John WRIGHT and her mother was FNU LNU. She had three brothers and a sister, named John, Phillip, Nicholas and Katie. She was the third oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 76 in 1857 in Lauderdale County, Alabama. Her burial was in Wright Cemetery, overlooking Opossum Creek near Center Hill, Lauderdale County, Alabama.1 1
