This site has the descendants of Pryor on it - and list him as being son of Joseph? and yet in the opening remarks is;
I have been researching Pryor Sexton b.1752 and his family for several years now. He first appears in the Wythe Co., Va. tax records of 1790's. We don't know where he came from or who his parents were. But with the help of a lot of other researchers this information may come to light one day
1. PRYOR2 SEXTON (JOSEPH?1) was born Abt. 1754, and died September 18, 1834 in Grayson Co. Va.. He married CATHERINE (CATY) (KOCHER) COKER 1783, daughter of JOHN COKER and SUSANNA UNKNOWN. She was born Abt. 1755 in NC, and died Abt. 1850.
Early Sexton pioneers four brothers who took up land on Rock Creek at the end of american Rev. John and Elizabeth Sexton, Pryor Sexton, Archibald, and William Sexton. the children of these settlers on Rock Creek fell on hard times and lost their land and were scattered through out Grayson Co. Va. and Ashe Co,. N.C.
Pryor owned a considerable amount of land that was in both NC and Va. He must have been a very animated man because there is record of him being charged $0.85 for swearing in public twice.
Kegleys 1815 tax list also shows Pryor Sexton as the owner of one farm on Rock Creek, 540 acres, having three on one dwelling house of logs, two "cabbens," and one barn, valued at $650. In 1830 was recorded has having two slaves one named Violet. Pryor's estate was appraised Sept. 18 1834 of $1,412.93.

List him as follows =
Generation No. 1
1. Unknown1 Sexton died Unknown. Children of Unknown Sexton are believed to be:
Generation No. 2
3. John2 Sexton (Unknown1) @http://www.geni.com/people/John-Sexton/6000000010102998933 died Abt. 1763 in Lunenburg, VA (Source: VA Lunenburg Co Court Order Bk 9 12 May 1763.). He married <Unnamed>. She died Unknown.
Notes for Pryor Sexton: There is no proof that Pryor is with this family, Willis did not find him on the VA Lunenburg Co Court Order Bk 9 12 May 1763. He does theorize that " As youngest, might he not have been left with mother if she was still alive? He was in the New River area at least 1793 until death in 1834." As he was still nursing, this is very probable.
WILLIAM EATON also attested a deed on 4 Nov.1811 in Grayson Co,VA between PRYOR SEXTON & WM.SEXTON,SR "of the Co.of Knox & state of KY..."
