it is very confusing that Christen Andersen Greve had two sons by the name of Rasmus. Rasmus the younger (here) took over his brother Niels tenure when he passed away just before 1840. He and his wife Ane Eschildsdatter also took care of three of Niels children- Ane Katrine, Petrine and Jörgen.

Rasmus Christensen Greve took over a farm that Niels Christensen Greve had had tenure of- (Niels died). "Mensal" indicates that The farm keeper had to give some of its "gains" to the parish priest. In this case it was the parish priest of Grenå. It also says here that the owner of the deed of tenure has paid 130 "riksdaler" in taxes and "landgilde" (landgilde is the tenure-deed-keepers fee to the farmer who actually owned the land) Some times this was paid not only in money but in f ex grains, fish etc...
