About Raunaq Singh

Raunaq Singh (born 1922) was the founder chairman of the Appollo Group and established the Raunaq group. He had four sons and a daughter. Raunaq Singh handed over his responsibility to his son, Kanwar Onkar Singh, and died on September 30, 2002 before he could have his memoirs written while still alive. His was a story of rags to riches heading a Rs.2,700 crore group. The Raunaq Group consists of Apollo Tyres Ltd, Bharat Steel Tubes Ltd, Bharat Gears Ltd, Menarini Raunaq Pharma Ltd, Raunaq International Ltd and Raunaq Automotive Components Ltd.
