Welsh-born Ray Henwood moved to NZ in his 20s, and began a long-running theatrical career. Along the way, there have been a host of screen appearances, most famously on classic Roger Hall comedy Gliding On and a decade plus of Moro Bar advertisements. In 2006 Henwood was awarded the Order of Merit for services to film and theatre. He has also toured one man shows playing Richard Burton, and Dylan Thomas.
