The Loudoun Co. Will Book B, p. 294-5 shows Rebecca -------- as the relict (widow) of Elias. June 14, 1779.

We believe that Elias married Rebecca Dehaven. If so it was after 23 March, 1776* and before June 8, 1778, when Rebecca is shown as the Administratrix of estate of Elias Ellis deceased. Ref. p. 26, of the "Abstracts of Wills for Loudoun Co., VA 1757-1800", by King.

"Beyland, David 8 June 1778 account presented by Rebecca Ellis, administrateratrix of Elias Ellis, dec'd. who was one of the executors of David Beyland (or Bayland), to which she made oath - which was approved by the court. (p.223)"

Calculations based upon the will of Abraham Dehaven, her father, of Sept. 13, 1770 states that she is to receive her part in two years (when she is 18?). 1772-18=1754 as date of birth.

Normally - (when she is 21). 1772-21=1751 as date of birth.

This is additional circumstantial evidence that Jane Cadwalader Rowland (Ellis) Hugh was the mother of Gainor Hugh Harris. Also shows additional relationship of the Ellis and Dehaven families.
