About Rebecca Jane Hansen (Bingham)


OGDEN—Mrs. Rebecca Jane Bingham Hansen, 84, long time- resident of Weber and Cache counties, died Friday at 2:40 pm in a local hospital after a short illness.

She was born Nov. 7, 1864 in Riverdale, Weber county, a daughter of Sanford and Martha Ann Lewis Bingham.

On Dec. 21. 1882, she was married to Hans Christian Hansen in the Salt Lake endowment house. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mrs. Hansen was known for her activities in the Relief society, Primary Assn., and genealogy work.

During her married life she had lived Plain City and Roy, Weber county, later moving to Trenton, Cache county, where she has made her home since 1912. Mr. Hanson died five years ago in Trenton.

Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Lorin C. Hansen, Los Angeles, Cal.; Ray S. Hansen, Reno, Nev.; Mrs. Edna Robson and Neta Benson, Trenton; Mrs. Martin Thompson, Plain City; Mrs. Edith Peek, South Weber, Davis county; Mrs. Thelma Hansen. Los Angeles, Cal.; 47 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: Norman Bingham, Ogden; Enoch Bingham and Mrs. Maria Campbell, Logan, and Mrs. Mary Cook, South Weber.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Lindquist and Sons mortuary, Ogden.
