"(368) Rev. David Rodney Murray, born 12th April 1791 ; died 4th November 1878. He married, 4th December 1828, Frances, daughter of John Portal of Freefolk, Hants, who died 1892, having had : -

• Major David Mortimer Murray, born 11th May 1832; died s.p. 24th January 1881. He married, 3rd January 1861, Ida, daughter of Captain Lewis Fenton of Underbanks, Yorks, who died 24th November 1869.
• Vice-Admiral Elibank Harley Murray, born 26th September 1833 ; died unmarried 27th September 1901.
• Alexander William Murray, H.E.I.C.S., born 29th January 1836; killed at Delhi 14th September 1857.
• Francis Rodney Murray, born 9th March 1838. Married, 1st June 1865, Jane Celestia, daughter of Gerard Noel Hoare, and had :
  • Rodney Montolieu, born 22nd June 1869; died s.p. 19th January 1900.
• Mortimer Evelyn Murray, born 5th May 1843; died 29th January 1888."
