Rev. Nathaniel Collins was born on 13 June 1677 in Middletown, Middlesex County, Connecticut. He graduated in 1697 in Harvard University, Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. He was ordained on 3 June 1699 in Enfield, Hartford County, Connecticut. Nathaniel was the first Pastor after 3 June 1699 in First Separatist Church, Enfield, Hartford County, Connecticut. From 1699 to 1724 he was an a church Pastor. He died at the home of his son Edward on London Street on 31 December 1756 in Enfield, Hartford County, Connecticut. Nathaniel was buried after 31 December 1756 in Enfield Street Cemetery, Enfield, Hartford County, Connecticut. He was buried beside his first wife. The current tombstone was reportedly erected in 1896 by Jabez Collins and Mrs. L. Collins Whitney, but it is not known if one was there prior to that or any other details. Parents: Rev. Nathaniel C.
