Richard Forrester 31, Wheelwright, together with his wife Mary Pitt 30, and 3 children, were members of Liversage's Party of 48 Settlers on the John.

Party originated from Staffordshire, England.

Departed Liverpool, 13 January 1820. Arrived Table Bay, Cape Town on 19 April 1820. Final Port - Algoa Bay, Port Elizabeth May 1820.

Occupation: Wheelwright in 1829 at Grahamstown, Eastern Cape, South Africa. He was left a widower with four children when his first wife, Mary Pitt, died. He then married Mary Randall.
